Wine is Very Tasty and Refreshing – But Only If Kept at the Right Temperature

When there is a special event coming up and you are going to be drinking wine, a wine fridge will come in very useful. The flavour is really controlled by the temperature of the wine.

When you are storing bottles of wine, where they are kept is important but the correct temperature is paramount. It makes long term storage better which helps the state of the wine and, more importantly, the flavour.

Fine wines only reach their ideal state and most palatable taste after some years maturing.

Fifty degrees Fahrenheit is the minimum temperature for ideal conditions. The maximum should be 65 degrees F. It will help with getting the wine to mature properly like that.

Bottles of wine used to be kept in racks in underground cellars or even in caves. That was before refrigerators started being used extensively. There were wine cellars in all the significant houses than.

We are so lucky these days. It is so much simpler to get the right temperature. It is a lot easier with refrigeration.

Chemical reactions are going all all the time while our wine is going through its maturing stage. Some of these reactions help the wine, others the opposite.

The temperature is the one main factor which will determine whether the wine will be good quality or not. If it is stored too hot or too cold, the reactions needed to have the best effect will not be able to happen.

While it is growing on the grape vine it does require a lot of bright sunlight on it. As soon as it has been bottled it should be kept out of the sun to maintain its flavour and texture. You can normally spot when this has not happened as the oxidation it causes will make the wine darken in color. link here

Your pleasure in drinking it will not be there so it might as well be flushed down the toilet if this happens. The wine shelves in the shops would not be able to have it on display.

You therefore need wine refrigerators to keep the wine cooler just before you are ready to drink it.

It will not mature properly for a much longer time if kept somewhere it is extra cold. It is less likely to make the wine undrinkable but is still not the best way to do it.

If you open a bottle of wine but do not drink it all, the 40 degree F temperature of a standard refrigerator is perfect to keep it in. Personally I never get to that stage, it all seems to get drunk pretty soon after opened.

This temperature is too cold to store bottles before they are opened though so don’t keep wine fridges as a method of long term wine storage.

It is not only a wine enthusiast who can derive lots of happiness from sipping wine from a glass. Get a proper wine fridge and use it in the right way and you can do the same.
